Selecting & Installing the Right Tires

Tires are the only contact point between your rig and the terrain. The right choice makes all the difference in traction, durability, and off-road capability.

01

Terrain Assessment & Selection

We evaluate your primary terrain—mud, rock, sand, gravel, or mixed—and recommend tire compounds, tread patterns, and load ratings tailored to your environment and lift height.

02

Size Compatibility

We verify proper tire sizing based on your new wheel diameter, vehicle suspension geometry, and lift height to ensure clearance with fenders, body, and drive components.

03

Load Rating & Sidewall Strength

  • Tires are selected with load ratings matching your rig's GVWR (Gross Vehicle Weight Rating).
  • Sidewall strength is prioritized for off-road impacts and lower-pressure terrain driving.
  • Proper inflation pressures are set based on terrain and load conditions.
  • Tire plug kits and emergency repair supplies are recommended.
04

Mounting & Balancing

Tires are professionally mounted on wheels and dynamically balanced to eliminate vibration, especially critical for aggressive tread patterns.

05

Valve Stems & Pressure Monitoring

Quality valve stems are installed with proper core torque. We can set up tire pressure monitoring systems (TPMS) and discuss low-pressure off-road setups if desired.

06

Inspection & Break-In

New tires are inspected for defects. We provide break-in guidance and maintenance schedules for rotation, alignment checks, and pressure adjustments based on your driving patterns.

Why Tire Pressure is So Important Off-Road

Low tire pressure is one of the most effective upgrades you can make:

  • Creates a larger footprint for better grip
  • Allows the tire to conform to rocks and obstacles
  • Improves shock absorption (protects wheels & suspension)
  • Dramatically increases traction in mud, sand, and rocks

Typical Off-Road Pressures: 8–15 psi (vs 35+ psi on the street).

Pro Tip: Hardcore trail tires + low pressure + beadlock wheels = the ultimate off-road combination.

We specialize in selecting and installing high-performance tires matched to your build, terrain, and driving style.
